![]() ![]() I have had four cracked rims paid for by the State of Ohio and seen multiple cars pulled off with flats. This quarter mile or less has continuously moving tire and wheel destroying gashes and pot holes. My commute home on US I 70 crosses over State route 315 / I 71. I was even thinking of getting an extra rim for the spare I keep in my trunk but I'm planning on moving soon so hoping things will change for the better. Having runflats tires and an extra one in the trunk gives me the peace of mind knowing that I can roll over to the nearest tire shop without having to wait for a tow truck to get the tire swapped out so I can at least get home and go to work the early next morning (then deal with everything else throughout the day/week). ![]() ![]() I've hit potholes that resulted in having to replace tires as well as dented and cracked rims more times than I'd like to admit. I'm in New York and the roads here are horrendous. Yes, a little overkill but under my current living circumstances and my daily commute, it just works out better for me that way. I've been using Bridgestone driveguard runflats and purchased an extra to keep in my trunk. ![]()
